Artificial Additions to Riparian Land: Extending the Doctrine of Accretion

Abstract

The writer examines the doctrines affecting landowners riparian to navigable rivers, and criticizes the recent Bonnelli Cattle Co. decision of the Supreme Court of Arizona. The court's application of the doctrine and of its definition of high-water mark are shown to be contrary to accepted precedent.
