Behavior Modification in Institutional Settings

Abstract

The author provides an overview, from the behavioral scientist's viewpoint, of the use of behavioral techniques in closed institutions. After reviewing the principal behavior modification techniques, he proposes guidelines for their use and explores specific areas of application.
