Interim Awards of Attorneys' Fees under the Civil Rights Attorney's Fees Awards Act of 1976

Abstract

A recent attorneys' fees awards statute creates the possibility of interim fees awards during the course of protracted civil rights litigation. The author explores the availability and utility of interim awards and suggests guidelines for judicial discretion.
