Federal Jurisdiction under the Alien Tort Claims Act: Can This Antiquated Statute Fulfill Its Modern Role?

Abstract

Recent attempts to bring international human rights violators within the jurisdiction of the federal district courts have drawn new attention to 28 U.S.C. section 1350. This Note examines the various interpretations which have been to the Alien Tort Claims Act.
