Abstract
The claims of discriminatory discharge based on employment statutes and the growing common law of wrongful discharge often give rise to parallel claims. The development of both claims has produced a conflict between the two doctrines, with the statutory claims serving as a limit on the common law claims. This Article examines these conflicts and the recent attempts of some courts to reconcile the apparent conflict.
