How to Succeed in Business without Being Tried--The Potentiality of Antitrust Prosecution

Abstract

The author, a former Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division, investigates the Justice Department's recent challenges of conglomerate mergers. He concludes that the economic, philosophical and legal premises underlying these challenges are fallacious and suggests that they constitute an inroad on our democratic tradition.
