Abstract
Several recent developments suggest that if an insured controls a corporation that owns an insurance policy on his life, he may be required to include the policy proceeds in his gross estate upon his death. The author analyzes these recent developments and argues that corporate control should not be viewed as an incident of policy ownership within the meaning of section 2042.
