Abstract
The constitutionality of state and federal plans providing direct subsidies to church-related secondary schools and colleges through salary supplements and construction funds has recently been determined by the Supreme Court. The author analyzes the rationale underlying these important decisions, investigates their doctrinal significance, and forecasts their effect.
