Abstract
The guaranty letter of credit has been used increasingly as a security device in a variety of contexts. This Note examines the guaranty letter of credit and distinguishes it from the traditional form. Problems inherent in the use of the guaranty letter of credit are reviewed, and solutions that effectuate the security requirements of the contracting parties are proposed.
