Legal Regulation of Applied Behavior Analysis in Mental Institutions and Prisons

Abstract

The use of behavioral techniques in closed institutions raises numerous legal issues. The author provides a thorough discussion of these issues, including possible legal theories limiting the use of behavioral techniques and special problem areas confronting applied behavior analysts. Detailed standards for the use of these techniques are presented in an appendix following the article.
