Abstract
Sanctions imposed under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 pose problems in the context of subsequent civil litigation arising from job-related personal injury. Since employers often do not contest OSHA citations, the author concludes that such citations' status should be identical to that of prior pleas of nolo contendere.
